Maca Camillo was born to a middle class family in Hong Kong,

she looks no different than a normal person, but actually she is a half-blood witch. 

Her father came from an Asian martial art family,

and her mother’s family was a faithful believer of a western God. 

Although her parents had been treating her well,

she didn’t want to be trapped in Hong Kong but in the meantime she didn’t want to go to the UK and speak English which she is not particularly good at. 

In the end, she decided to face the challenge despite the wishes of her parents.

As a result she is always obsessed with non-magic stuff like art and technology; therefore, she is half-way through all kinds of magic, no matter if it is Chinese Tao Shu, Western sorcery or spiritual power. 

After graduating from a university, she went to Japan against her parents’ will, a land of creation,  a land that she had been longing for since she was a child. 

However, no matter how she worked from morning to night and often through the night as well, and had gained so much support from her Japanese Insip friends, she still could not become one of them. 

Since most of the people around her thought she was too hard working,

everyone was afraid to work with her or be around her. 

There was not a single firm that would hire her,

small companies feared her excessive working abilities,

larger companies thought she lacked experience,

others just disapproved of her because she is not local. 

The love of Merula had helped her to overcome every disappointment.

However, she was still under pressured and lonely for being rejected in Japan. 

She started to question herself, she did not know if she was too excellent or incapable. She was lost, and there is no way for her to go back. 

It was her own choice, it was her responsibility to stay in here, she ought to suffer from the worst job ever for the sack of her family and for being alive.

One day, Maca received a special letter which sent by “A.R.H.A”, at the first glance she thought it was just another letter of rejection, inside the letter it said:

Dear Miss Maca Camillo

We have received some compliments of you from our Japanese Varie fellows. They have told us that you gave enormous help to the groups of Varie even though you were under great pressure. They have seen your fabulous jobs but you were facing unjust, that was why they have reached us. 

Just like every Varie, we believe all of us desire a better and fairer treatment. 

We are here to offer you a job at A.R.H.A, but we need you to leave Japan and head to our UK branch. I believe it would be a good offer for you, it is a job for a better life, a job that allows you to present yourself. You are going to have more time to pursue your dream.  Here you will meet friends who support you and your dream.

Maca had never thought of getting a great offer like this one, it almost looks like a 

scam, but in the next second…

“To the UK…Well. Merula is British…Then, can I meet my one and only “Merula” in the UK as well. I will go there for Merula even if it is a scam!” She cleaned up the whole house with her magic, and took her luggage and her precious Merula puppet to the United Kingdom.
